Grace Walk
Walk with Me and work with Me--watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't try to lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

-Matthew 11:29-30 The Message

Hidden Treasures
One of the most satisfying aspects of writing
is that it can open in us deep wells of hidden treasures
that are beautiful for us as well as for others to see.

-Henri Nouwen in Bread for the Journey

A Modern Day Psaltery
David wrote psalms to express
what was in his heart.
Seeing no need to hide what he felt,
he wrote with sincerity, and with no hidden agenda.
What he felt was never taken against him.
Pray, dear reader, discern my heart between the lines.
Dinah Maria Craik couldn't have said it better:
"Oh the comfort -- the inexpressible comfort
of feeling safe with a person --
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but pouring them all right out, just as they are,
chaff and grain together;
certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping,
and then, with the breath of kindness
blow the rest away."

My Philippines: Hope Shines

Sunrise

I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.

- Psalm 27:13

Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

- Psalm 30:5

As the New Year begins, I am encouraged to see many answers to the prayers and faith declarations that countless prophetic intercessors for the Philippines have sown through the years.

We are a nation of seven thousand, one hundred seven islands, the second largest archipelago in the world.

Once called "the sick man of Asia," we are now on our way to becoming the fifth "Asian tiger".

Yes, the Philippines is on the upswing, and the world is beginning to take notice.

If you believe in what the Lord is doing in answer to heartfelt prayers, please continue to pray for our nation.

Below is a video that will encourage your hearts. Thank you for investing your time to view it.

It's exciting to hear about the good things that are happening in the Philippines. I agree that God is blessing your country and am thankful for the many prayers being offered for it.

Dear Lidia,
I admire the industrious people of Philippine who make the country thrive.
I also admire its fabulous beauty.
Most Europeans see that power is moved eastwards these days.
May the Lord take care of all of us.

WOW Lidia, I have never been to the Philippians so I don't really know the difference, but what I see here is beautiful. Its good to know life is getting better there. Cuts in interest rates, that will help a lot with inflation. Its wonderful to know people are also willing to embrace change and a better way of life. Perhaps thats through the education of the children... they learn and then go home and teach their parents.. I actually supported a little girl from there for many years. I wonder where she is today? I pray she is a strong Christian and helps her country to prosper. I never knew the Philippines was second to Japan in wealth in the 1950s. This video was very enlightening to us in other countries who are not there to see the transformation.
