Grace Walk
Walk with Me and work with Me--watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't try to lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

-Matthew 11:29-30 The Message

Hidden Treasures
One of the most satisfying aspects of writing
is that it can open in us deep wells of hidden treasures
that are beautiful for us as well as for others to see.

-Henri Nouwen in Bread for the Journey

A Modern Day Psaltery
David wrote psalms to express
what was in his heart.
Seeing no need to hide what he felt,
he wrote with sincerity, and with no hidden agenda.
What he felt was never taken against him.
Pray, dear reader, discern my heart between the lines.
Dinah Maria Craik couldn't have said it better:
"Oh the comfort -- the inexpressible comfort
of feeling safe with a person --
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but pouring them all right out, just as they are,
chaff and grain together;
certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping,
and then, with the breath of kindness
blow the rest away."

From Cyberspace to Real Life!

This postcard from a blog friend arrived in the mail today!

Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity!

- Psalm 133:1

It was a lazy kind of morning with nothing urgent on my to do list. The carpenter is scraping off the old paint in my old kitchen, then he will apply a new coat. There are on going repairs being done, but I don't want to be in a frenzy about this. I will be cleaning out some kitchen cabinets one day at a time within the next few days.

This is the first time in months that I am finally staying home for a considerable chunk of time to focus on the home front. Read more....

thank you for visiting my blog.....yes, I was just at a Kingdom Come conference in our town and while the conference was going on upstairs, downstairs Sanctuary House of Prayer (like IHOP) was worshipping and interceeding the whole time.....@ one point David Ruis came and did a set. He used to be my Pastor years ago when he was a Pastor here @ the Winnipeg Vineyard. That was years ago...he now lives in California, but they also had a conference going on this past weekend in town. I moved to Europe for ten years and so also now go to a different church but really there is only ONE church...right?! Yes, like you I love these things and am a very hungry lady for the things of God. I may talk about them in ways that are a little different than you but that is the absolute beauty of diversity that God has given us....It is an amazing journey to walk with God.

It is good to deal with our stuff, Lidj, so slow down and be content. Love you much, Yolanda

Dear LIdj,
You and the Bible are so right.
Some of the greatest in life is when Christian friends are sharing; be it sorrow or joys.
The fruits of faith is love.
