Grace Walk
Walk with Me and work with Me--watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't try to lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

-Matthew 11:29-30 The Message

Hidden Treasures
One of the most satisfying aspects of writing
is that it can open in us deep wells of hidden treasures
that are beautiful for us as well as for others to see.

-Henri Nouwen in Bread for the Journey

A Modern Day Psaltery
David wrote psalms to express
what was in his heart.
Seeing no need to hide what he felt,
he wrote with sincerity, and with no hidden agenda.
What he felt was never taken against him.
Pray, dear reader, discern my heart between the lines.
Dinah Maria Craik couldn't have said it better:
"Oh the comfort -- the inexpressible comfort
of feeling safe with a person --
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but pouring them all right out, just as they are,
chaff and grain together;
certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping,
and then, with the breath of kindness
blow the rest away."

"Carried to the Table"

The Lord's Supper by Warner Sallman

Beautiful Grace and The Other Side of ... were my very first blog friends. I was still living in Chiang Mai, Thailand when this blog was born, and I was in the process of searching the web for blog elements to include in my sidebar.

That was how I came upon their blogs, and the blog friendships that resulted is something that I will always treasure in my heart.

They followed my blog, and kept me company during that season of my life.

The other day, Beautiful Grace left a comment at my Walkway Reflections entitled The Table where she gave me the link to the song that I want to share on this post.

I had never heard anything about Leeland before, much less this song.

While listening to this unbelievably beautiful song, tears just came to my eyes... the melody, the words, the voice singing, even the pictures that were used by the person who put this together for YouTube...

This is definitely my song for this new season of my life.

And to you my faithful blog readers, I say thank you for having been part of my life story. I share this song with you today with the prayer that as spring season is once again here, may your hearts be drawn closer to the Father's love.

After this post, I will probably not be able to do entries as often as I have done so in the past.

But you are always welcome to leave a comment or two under my previous posts, as all comments are forwarded to my email box. I also encourage those of you who know my email address to write me directly.

For now, I have discerned that God is leading me on a different path.

When the Master calls, I want to obey.

Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing
when he comes.

-Luke 12:43

Carried to the Table
(by Leeland)

Wounded and forsaken
I was shattered by the fall
Broken and forgotten
Feeling lost and all alone
Summoned by the King
Into the Master’s courts
Lifted by the Savior
And cradled in His arms

I was carried to the table
Seated where I don’t belong
Carried to the table
Swept away by His love
And I don’t see my brokenness anymore
When I’m seated at the table of the Lord
I’m carried to the table
The table of the Lord

Fighting thoughts of fear
And wondering why He called my name
Am I good enough to share this cup
This world has left me lame
Even in my weakness
The Savior called my name
In His Holy presence
I’m healed and unashamed

You carried me, my God
You carried me

Thank you Lidj, for such beautiful lyrics. I've been in communion with the Lord all day today, and felt the truth of the words in the song, that He calls us to His table. It is so overwhelming when we enter in and sit beside him. Thank you.
