We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—
52in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound,
the dead will be raised imperishable,
and we will be changed.
53For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable,
and the mortal with immortality.
54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable,
and the mortal with immortality,
then the saying that is written will come true:
"Death has been swallowed up in victory."
55"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"
56The sting of death is sin,
and the power of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God!
He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 1 Corinthians 15:51-57
Jesus has risen, He's alive forevermore!
He rose victorious from the grave!
Death has no power over him!
The last enemy to be conquered is death... and Jesus has conquered it for us!
And as I stood in front of this station, I felt a surge of power and victory inside of me. I am not a victim, cause I've got the Victor living in me!
This was such a powerful experience, going through the stations of the Cross at the Walkway. This is why I have gone to great lengths posting all about it on my blog...that this very special Holy Week of 2010 will be recorded. This is the season of springtime, and God has broken through for me again.
Confirming His call upon my life.
Speak life to the downhearted! Spread the Good News that Resurrection is real. Death has no power over us, Jesus our Redeemer has already died in our place.
Now all we have to do is to accept His finished and completed work on Calvary, and this includes accepting and believing in the power of His Resurrection!
The instructions at this particular station was to get a card from the table, write the name of the person who has touched my life in a special way, and say a special prayer for him or her... and then put up the card on the line provided...FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE!
It was amazing that both Trudi and I thought of the same person. We were doing the stations separately, and so it came as a delight to both of us when we realized we had the same person on our hearts!
Father, I thank you so much for Ruby. She has done so much to encourage me, to lift me up, to spur me onward to live out my true calling and assignment. She is a life giver, a true picture of Your Resurrection LIFE and POWER! I thank God for Ruby. Lead her on to the next level of her destiny, dear Father. I thank You for the love that she has shown, not only to me and Trudi, but to so many others.
I thank you above all that You have given me the eyes to see the gem that she is...and if there are others who have not seen this, then it is their great loss! What a priceless gift her love and friendship are to me.

Lidj,
What a beautiful tribute to the love and inspiration Ruby has been in the lives of you both. I am sure she is deeply touched by this gratitude and act of prayer for her.
I never knew this about a carpenter's calling card, being a folded towel, now Jesus' burial linens make perfect sense and how Peter would have seen them differently!

Hi Lidj,
Wow, you have done a lot of posting since my last visit. Been recovering from that dental surgery. Would appreciate prayers for healing--can't eat, talk...and constant headache...
What a meaningful walk..I would love to do this..have to go back and read through all your stations...love that you 'knew' you were not a victim but that the Victor lives in you...blessings on your week...

Hello, Lidj ~
I just want you to know that I haven't been able to get access to your blog for a long time now! I've missed so much! I even left a comment for you in one of my posts in the hopes that you might see it.
So many computer/blogger problems lately, but over the weekend my husband fixed some other problems we were having with the computer and now it seems I can get here again.
I will be back when it's quiet here and I can savor all the posts I've missed.
I love to come here and purge all the negative feelings I carry.
You have such a peaceful, spiritual place here.
Love to you,
Eileen
It is beautiful how the spirit works. Beautiful post!
God so blesses by sending Spiritual Mothers to lead and encourage us when our mothers are unable. My spiritual mother passed away 2 summers ago. During this past year, your posts have spiritually mothered me through one of the most challenging years of my life. Being a spiritual mother is not an age thing - it is a willingness to mother those less experienced who are sharing the journey path - Thank you!
