I've Been Tagged!

My Indian friend and fellow blogger, Amrita, tagged me on her post entitled Me-me. It's called the "8 things tag" and of course, the best thing to do would be to put down honest answers.

I promised her I'd take time to work on it, then post it.

With this post are eight recent photographs I've taken.

8 Things I Am Looking Forward to

1. Completing the verse by verse study of Song of Songs by Mike Bickle which I've just started.

2. Laying the groundwork for the publication of my first devotional book.

3. Finishing the granite stone work and tombstone on my husband's grave when I return to Bacolod.

4. Spending time with my grandson Matthew whom I have not seen for nearly a month!

5. Buying a new oven for my ministry kitchen.

6. God's provision for the needed finances to continue with the re-organization of my home, discarding the clutter, continuing with the repair work:
- on Ernie's office where I will organize all his books and other mementos,
- repair work on Obedient One's new bedroom that will also serve as our new guest room, - and repair work on Worshiper's bedroom.

7. Seeing God at work in this new season of my life. This includes receiving direction for a stable means of income for me, now that my husband is no longer around, the completion of my Masteral studies, and enlarging my ministry opportunities both with Family Foundations International (my current ministry involvement) and with my home church.

8. Spending eternity in heaven!

8 Things I Did Yesterday

1. Did a bit of work on the Song of Songs Friends of the Bridegroom Series.

2. Read my Bible portion for the day and wrote on my journal.

3. Cleaned the house, washed the dishes, did the laundry.

4. Did a bit of gardening, pulling up weeds, and cutting grass.

5. Bought food for our meals.

6. Sent an email to my sister in law, and visited a few blogs.

7. Took a nap.

8. Had a foot spa (I did it myself!)

8 Things I Wish I Could Do

1. Buy a professional camera so I can learn to take more high quality and more professional pictures

2. Learn how to drive a car

3. Visit Israel

4. Visit Chiang Mai, Thailand again

5. Revisit Rasa, Switzerland this time with my daughter

6. Spend time at my sister's lovely home in the US

7. Visit my best friend Melanie who lives in Virginia

8. Spend at least 3 months at the IHOP headquarters, meet Bob Sorge, Gary Wiens, Mike Bickle in person, and sit at their feet to listen to what God has to say through them.

Blogs Worth A Read

Thank you, Beautiful Grace for giving me an "I Love Your Blog" award.

Let me now pass on the award to seven others, as instructed. I don't really read much of other people's blogs, only a few that I have come across, and which have really touched my heart for one reason or another. Here are the seven special blogs that I have chosen:

The Other Side Of... The author is a mother like me. She and her daughter have a beautiful relationship. She doesn't hide her pain and her brokenness, as well as her simple joys and little victories. I can relate to much of what she writes about. She loves the Lord, and this is the greatest thing about her. I love reading her posts. She has a great sense of humor!

Beautiful Grace... The author is another mother. She loves her husband and her two sons, and above all, the Lord. I feel like I've found a kindred spirit in her. We like the same songs, feel the same way about a lot of things. We both love Israel, and believe in 24/7 prayer. We both believe in balancing our Mary and Martha natures, and both believe that the Martha must serve only out of the overflow of Mary's heart. Her blog has very many posts, and I know I have only scratched the surface. I look forward to reading more of her posts. The author's heart is gentle and kind; though I have never met her, I can feel it in the way she writes. She has a loving husband, and two sons whom she thinks the world of. In this area, we're almost the same, except that I have another child, a daughter. I can definitely relate to Beautiful Grace.

Beautiful Grace... The author is a young 16-year old girl, and she can write very well. As I read the personal insights that she shares on her blog, I often feel refreshed. I chose to give her blog an award because I believe God has anointed the "30 and under" generation for a special kingdom task for the last days. This is to encourage her heart.

PrincipleThing.com... The author is a 21-year old young man, but his insights are profound and well thought out. He talks about wisdom being the principal thing, so get wisdom. There are many nuggets of truth that one can find in this blog. I am amazed at how God has gifted him with such a mind and an ability to express a deep truth in a very simple way. Again, I believe that the "30 and under" generation is given a very important task for our times.

Proverbs 31 Journal... The author is a friend of mine, we come from the same church, and we come from the same country. She was the one who introduced me to blogging. Her blogspot is definitely worth a read. You will discover her to be a truly amazing jewel of a woman. Jenny is a great cook, and makes fabulous quilts. I learned quilting from her. She is also a nurse. She loves her husband, and four children, and of course, her God above all.

Enjoying the Journey... This is a very good blog to visit. Some of the post entries that I've read have sunk deep into my heart. The author was born to missionary parents, is a mother of 3 daughters, and is a pastor's wife. The atmosphere created by the posts and pictures in her blog is one of fun and joy and laughter. I know I will enjoy this blog. The writer is spontaneous, and authentic. She obviously lives out her faith in practical, not intellectual, terms. One thing I really like in this blog is Carol Ann's TRANSPARENCY. She hides nothing, she doesn't try to be anonymous. And her family also has dogs!

Adventures of An Ordinary Christian... This is another great blog. The author is a wife and mother, like me. Her entries are heartwarming, and she has a deep grasp and understanding of Scriptures. I love the way this author writes. She is reflective, deep, and she likes to share Biblical truths in a down-to-earth kind of way. Not at all preachy, she simply shares her life as it is. I love the way she writes -- good sentence structure, perfect grammar, and lots of meat. Good stuff. I haven't read much, but I know this is one blog that I will want to read slowly. One post at a time. The author is a doctor, but you read humility all the way. The title of her blog caught my attention because there was a time in my life when God spoke to me and gave me a name for a new season of my life, it was also "Ordinary." I'm glad I found your blog!

I know that there is so much more that can be said about each of the blogs I've chosen. You can check out these blogs and find out!

According to Beautiful Grace, there are a few rules that go with this award, but I don't think these are hard and fast rules. I want to give my "awardees" the freedom to do what they want. They may pass the award on to less than seven, or even just one, other blog. But I think it might be good for us to read your reasons why you are giving the award to a certain blog writer.
