Grace Walk
Walk with Me and work with Me--watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't try to lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

-Matthew 11:29-30 The Message

Hidden Treasures
One of the most satisfying aspects of writing
is that it can open in us deep wells of hidden treasures
that are beautiful for us as well as for others to see.

-Henri Nouwen in Bread for the Journey

A Modern Day Psaltery
David wrote psalms to express
what was in his heart.
Seeing no need to hide what he felt,
he wrote with sincerity, and with no hidden agenda.
What he felt was never taken against him.
Pray, dear reader, discern my heart between the lines.
Dinah Maria Craik couldn't have said it better:
"Oh the comfort -- the inexpressible comfort
of feeling safe with a person --
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but pouring them all right out, just as they are,
chaff and grain together;
certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping,
and then, with the breath of kindness
blow the rest away."

I Love the Philippines-3

This is just one of the 124 islands found in
The Hundred Islands, Alaminos City, Pangasinan Province

The Hundred Islands is a cluster of 124 islets located in Alaminos City, in the northern Philippines province of Pangasinan. The islands are scattered along Lingayen Gulf and cover an area of 18.44 square kilometers (4,557 acres). Only three of the islands have been developed for tourists.

Because of its special characteristics, scientific importance, uniqueness, and high scenic value, the islands have been declared by the National Committee on Geographical Sciences as a national geological monument in September 2001.

The Hundred Islands is Pangasinan's best-known attraction. Some of these eroded rocky outcrops have sandy beaches that can get crowded on holidays. Read more about these islands here.

Hello Lidj - this is fun seeing your post for Tuesday because it isn't Tuesday here yet, it's still Monday. I wanted to tell you how moved I am by your work with the Ancient Path seminars and the Family Foundation. This is the kind of ministry the world needs so badly - learning Christ came not just to give us life in the hereafter, but also to bless us as we walk this earth. I am proud to call you friend!!!

Aaah ... so nice to view and imagine using that nice beach to soak up some sun. We're still sitting pretty in 2-3 feet of snow. Two more days until I leave for "Paradise" to visit my parents :)

I feel warmer just looking at your pictures! We still have about 10 inches of snow with more to come later today. I don't really mind winter but this is the time of year when I have had enough of it and am ready for spring!

Lidj, I echo Gail's words...and your pictures are all the more appealing when it is -13C right now...
I couldn't find you personal email here, so could you please pray for my niece, Gabrela, who is 15, and lives in Orlando. She just had brain surgery to remove a growth in her pituitary gland and is now in a lot of pain.
Also, a friend of my sister just called from Trinidad. She was in a great deal of pain and has been given a short time left. She has cancer. It was so hard as my sister was not here and I honestly did not know how to pray...just prayed that she would know His love...thx...
Love, Sita
