Grace Walk
Walk with Me and work with Me--watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't try to lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

-Matthew 11:29-30 The Message

Hidden Treasures
One of the most satisfying aspects of writing
is that it can open in us deep wells of hidden treasures
that are beautiful for us as well as for others to see.

-Henri Nouwen in Bread for the Journey

A Modern Day Psaltery
David wrote psalms to express
what was in his heart.
Seeing no need to hide what he felt,
he wrote with sincerity, and with no hidden agenda.
What he felt was never taken against him.
Pray, dear reader, discern my heart between the lines.
Dinah Maria Craik couldn't have said it better:
"Oh the comfort -- the inexpressible comfort
of feeling safe with a person --
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but pouring them all right out, just as they are,
chaff and grain together;
certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping,
and then, with the breath of kindness
blow the rest away."

Precious Gifts from Above

Each of my grandchildren touches my heart in different ways.

God has blessed me with three, so far. And today my fourth one, the first granddaughter, will be born.

I love them all in a special way.

Today is a day of rejoicing for our family with the little girl's arrival. We have been waiting for her with glad anticipation.

But, at the same time my heart is heavy. Just last night, my first grandson Forerunner had to be hospitalized for fever, vomiting, watery bowel movement, headache, and abdominal pain.

His being sick at this time was never in the picture.

But, again... as always, what can I do except trust God for He holds all the seasons and circumstances of our lives in His hands.

I am asking Abba Father for the complete healing and speedy recovery of my grandson.

Forerunner and his cousin Full of Hope

He spent two weeks with me recently. Each night we would sing a lot of songs from YouTube, for he has grown up to love songs. He has a sweet and beautiful voice.

Below are some videos I have listened to early this morning, to remind me of the precious love of Jesus for my dear grandson, and of some of Forerunner's favorite songs that we would sing together at bedtime.

Praying for your grandson, your daughter in law and soon to be in the arms of her mother, your new granddaughter.

My prayers are that today all is well.

That your grandson is healed and home. And that your granddaughter has arrived safely and healthy.

Life is so like this - good and bad mixed together. Sometimes I feel unable to deal with the bad stuff. And yet, we are held securely by the God who loves us.

He can help us rise above our circumstances.

GOD BLESS.

Haven't blogged for a while. Praying Forerunner is doing better and completely healed. Congratulations on your new grandchild. What a precious grandmother you are, teaching your grandchildren about Jesus at an early age. I know they will carry everything they heard and had done with you about Him as they grow up. God bless you sister Lidia and same with your whole family. Take care.
