Grace Walk
Walk with Me and work with Me--watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won't try to lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with Me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.

-Matthew 11:29-30 The Message

Hidden Treasures
One of the most satisfying aspects of writing
is that it can open in us deep wells of hidden treasures
that are beautiful for us as well as for others to see.

-Henri Nouwen in Bread for the Journey

A Modern Day Psaltery
David wrote psalms to express
what was in his heart.
Seeing no need to hide what he felt,
he wrote with sincerity, and with no hidden agenda.
What he felt was never taken against him.
Pray, dear reader, discern my heart between the lines.
Dinah Maria Craik couldn't have said it better:
"Oh the comfort -- the inexpressible comfort
of feeling safe with a person --
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but pouring them all right out, just as they are,
chaff and grain together;
certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them,
keep what is worth keeping,
and then, with the breath of kindness
blow the rest away."

Speaking Life

Raindrops in my jade plant

The God of Israel said,
the Rock of Israel spoke to me,
He who rules over men must be just,
ruling in reverence of God.
And he will be like the light of the morning,
when the sun rises, a morning without clouds,
like the tender grass springing out of the earth
by shining clear after rain.
- 2 Samuel 23:3

And the remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples
as the dew from the LORD,
as the showers upon the grass
that do not delay for man
or wait for the sons of men.
- Micah 5:6

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower
and bread for the eater,
so is My word that goes out from My mouth:
It will not return to Me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
- Isaiah 55:10, 11

Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.
- Deuteronomy 32:2

The worship of convenience is the enemy of true faith. - Rick Joyner

About a week ago, nine of us went to San Carlos City, a city in the northern part of our island.  It was a cool morning, the dawning of a new day, and the road to this place takes us through winding roads around the mountains of Don Salvador Benedicto. So it really was a scenic route through sugar cane plantations, rice fields, rivers, brooks, meadows, valleys, and pine tree nurseries. Clouds hung low in the mountains, and in some parts, we literally had to go through these clouds. It was a feast for my soul, really such a refreshing delight for me, after having been in the congested and noisy city all these months.

Lyndon had been invited to give a teaching at the pastors' and church workers' gathering that day, and we were part of his intercessory team.

Only about fifty persons showed up for this event, so we were quite disappointed. Yet Lyndon delivered his message with the same passion and commitment that I have known him to have.

There is really no time to lose. We aim to encourage as many fellow countrymen as we can reach to go down on their knees and regularly intercede for our nation. It is a call to unity, especially for pastors who are the gatekeepers of their churches.

We want to break down the denominational walls that divide and wound us as a people, but it seems such an uphill climb. Reaching out to all of those who are called by His name, our ultimate aim is for anyone who will acknowledge the sovereignty of God as King over our seven thousand and one hundred islands, to bend the knee in humility, and to pray.

Our greatest enemies are ignorance, complacency, plain and simple laziness, and an outright refusal to budge from one's places of comfort. Nevertheless, we are not daunted by this, for that is nearly where each one of us stood at the beginning of our individual journeys. So we are setting out on an information campaign - letting people know what the real score is, in a language that they speak and understand, right where they are.

A year ago, the Central Bank of the Philippines came out with new banknotes. On these banknotes were printed these amazing words:

Pinagpala ang bayan na ang Diyos ay ang Panginoon.

In English, this means, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" found in Psalm 33:12.

This is a powerful declaration. The fact that it is printed on every single banknote of our currency has spiritual implications. To say that we are excited about this development is really an understatement, for we are seeing before our eyes that God is pleased by our commitment to continue giving Him the place of highest honor in our land.

Money talks... and in this case, our money says that He is the Lord of our economy.

What we really want people to know is that the Philippines is a nation of prophetic destiny. Being the only Christian nation in southeast Asia, we are a channel of God's blessing to this part of the world.

Our islands are naturally endowed with great wealth in the form of natural resources.

Consider these facts:

The Mindanao Deep has the biggest deposit of concentrated nitrogen in the whole world.

Beneath the South China Sea, right within Philippine territory, lies 213 billion barrels of oil deposits. No wonder, our next door neighbor is very interested and is preying right within our doorsteps, standing guard.

We are the fifth most mineralized country in the world... the number one gold producer in Asia, having the second largest deposit of gold in the entire world. We have the third largest deposit of copper, in Surigao is found the fourth largest deposit of nickel, used in the manufacture of stainless steel. We also have the fifth largest deposit of manganese, and the sixth largest deposit of chromite worldwide.

But more than the wealth of our natural resources, I believe that our greatest wealth are our own people, gifted with a joyful spirit. Hospitality is probably our national trait, as well as a soft heart for God. We are a civilized race, with a set of well-defined and written laws. Intelligent and hardworking, we possess incredible abilities in arts and sciences.

God is changing the season, and He is turning the tide in our favor. Among the intercessors, those who are praying unceasingly for this nation, it is a widespread belief that we are moving forward, and we are believing that God will enable us to accomplish in a year what will normally take ten years.

No longer will the Lord delay His Word for the Philippines. We need to recognize the urgency of this hour... we need to unite... stand together... believe together... and pray together!

We will look beyond the societal ills, the injustice, the corruption, the poverty... we will look up to the heavens, believe that He is lifting us up from the ashes, restoring us to a greater glory than ever before, and together let us declare with one voice that the Philippines is for Christ!

Showers of mercy, grace, and compassion are falling.

I offer my mouth to You, Lord, that You may use it as an instrument for Your glory.  My mouth will speak blessings, and not curse... life, and not death. Make me a channel of blessing to my family - my children and grandchildren, to my friends, and every single person you send my way.

Yes, I am speaking life to these islands... raising my voice up to the heavens! I will never stop proclaiming that the Philippines is for Christ!

I have been home for four weeks already, and have truly appreciated the precious opportunity to bond with my family as well.

This month we celebrated the birthdays of my two daughters in love, God given and Chosen One.

Below are some pictures I have taken of my loved ones.

The Philippines is for Christ
 by Steve Kuban

The heavens declare your glory
The nations bow before Thee
And in this place
Let your praise arise
The Philippines is for Christ

Reign, reign Lord Jesus
In our hearts
And In our lives
Reign, reign O Lord of the Heavens
The Philippines is for Christ

Forever your name be exalted
O Lord above creation
And in this place
We lift your song on high
The Philippines is for Christ

Good day, my dearest Lidj!

I am so touched at the way you breathe blessings to our country. I do believe the same thing you have said about out country.

We all need to fall down on our knees in the plea for our Nation and for the people in it.

I have this feeling just so recently that we are on our way to a better economy and way of life for the Filipinos. I don't have the exact details.... but I do think they are God-whispers.

Indeed we are so wealthy in resources including the people... if only we don't procrastinate and stay on the comfort zone.

I am glad you are home for a longer time and have been enjoying your children and grands... and the birthday celebrations. I am also a July born denizen... now 57 (July 18).

More grace to you(and yours) and love and peace from heaven.

May everyone speak life to our nation, each other all over the globe.

Welcome back, I have been wondering how you are doing. The pictures of your loved one's shows such a happy loving family. What a major thing to have" Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." I see Gods hand moving. It is exciting. So happy to see your commitment and hard work taking fruit. Blessings...you are amazing.

First of all, Lidia, I am blown away that your government has placed those words on your money. Glory to our God, in the Highest! That is incredible. Our nation, The United States of America, wants to REMOVE our slogan: In God We Trust. That shows you the state of affairs here in the U.S.

I am so blessed to known a fellow intercessor who prays for her nation. Your prayers are effectual, Lidia.

God has His Hand of blessing over your nation. Hallelujah!

I love the photos of your family (especially their names) and the video.

God bless the Phillipines! And God bless the intercessors!

Lidia, where was this song sung? Extraordinary! Truly.

Thank you for educating me about your country. As I was reading your words, I was so thrilled for the Philippines and yet so sad for the US. We have taken God out of our government. No one can speak the name of Jesus in public prayer settings. So very sad ...

As believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we can speak the truth and we can pray. How often we take that for granted.

Your country is a good example for us in the US. Exalting the name of God and giving Him His rightful place is what needs to be done. Thank you for sharing.

We can begin with prayer for our countries. And in the US, instead of all the hatred and anger, we can pray for our President even if we do not agree with his policies. And then we can vote.

Much love and blessings to you,
Debbie

Wow! I was impressed as I read the description of your country. Truly God has blessed it and placed it strategically for the blessing of many.

I know this also means that the Enemy has his sights set on it. I pray for encouragement for you and your team...for a great turning to God--repentance, obedience, much joy, FRUIT!

Oh, Lidia, how I hear the urgency in your words as you share your love that Christ has for His church in the Philippines! May God richly bless each and every word, miles, and breath that is give you and your team of disciples sharing His truth. I have missed hearing your words!

Choking up as I read your post...And agreeing with all of your words. I love His promise from Isaiah of how His Word does not return empty. And no matter where a Filipino lives...deep in the heart, if born and raised there, would always have a part of our heritage. Our families are also known to be well-knit and that bond and love is what gets anyone through tough times. I will pray with you sister Lidia and claim His wonderful promises over our beloved nation. I am not worried whenever you have not posted in a long time. I know you are a moving vessel for His Kingdom whenever I don't hear from you. And when you do share your heart and missions, I am always blessed by your love for our God. And others.

As for your question regarding my work, I wished I didn't have to leave that facility because the environment was more relaxed than at the main detention center where I am scheduled now. But I accepted that supervisor's request because I wanted him to know that I would always be willing to work there even if I had not in a long time. It was good to see the previous deputies I had worked with. It was good to be re-acquainted with this facility that offers rehabilitation projects for much calmer, sentenced inmates. My journey regarding my battle at work is not even my focus at times anymore. I just want to know where He wants me to go. Please pray for me in that aspect but I know you do. Thank you. God bless and protect you always.

Wow... you country is situated for increase! I hear the expectation in your heart, and I know that God is surely working in that place. As miners continue to mine for treasure, may they not only find gold but find the wealth of Jesus alongside.

God is using you, friend. Keep to it.

Dearest Lidia! Before I say anything more, I must say how beautiful and precious those little grandsons are. What an amazing future they have in store for them! The Lord has wonderful plans in store for their lives.

I agree wholeheartedly that our enemies are indifference and laziness in spiritual matters. What if everyone who believed in God DID fall to their knees in prayer? Really, what if? Wouldn't that be incredible and make a massive difference in the world today? Why do we not do this and encourage others to do as well? (Well, some of us obviously encourage others, for example, you and your friends who speak so powerfully on this!) We need to ask for more courage and diligence. I join you in your prayers for your country and for the entire fallen world.

God bless my friend.

Hi Lidj! It was so good to see your message this morning, thank you! Yes, I had been wondering about you. You always express yourself so well. I enjoyed reading of your love and hope for your country. It was good to read about the name of God being on the bank notes. What a special family you have! I enjoyed the family photos so much ... one of my favorites was "Happy Feet". So precious and I love the expressions on his face, too! I sure hope you have a relaxing weekend and good family times.

What a beautiful family you have Lidia. I so love your heart..your Posts never fail to uplift me and urge me to do the same. Sadly, America seems to be lowering it's standards. Those in power are not Godly people...Oh, how I pray that our people open their eyes and vote them out of office this November! Please pray Lidia...I know that your Gifting is Intercession and we need those who fall on their faces before the Lord! Thank you dear sister.

Dear Lidia, I just wanted to stop by and let you know that my summer semester is winding down to a close. I will have two weeks off before my fall semester starts at the end of August. God is carrying me through, and helped me to pass my SPI (Ultrasound Physics) boards on Thurs. I am so grateful as I read your blog at the Scripture placed on the money!! What a testimony. Our country is going down hill so quickly! And God will not bless a country that turns its back on Him. That is what i see our country doing: turning their back on God. Thank the Lord for His children that are all over the world! I'm so grateful for your faithfulness to the Lord!
Sending you hugs from over here on the east coast of the US.

Dear Lidia,
You have a lovely family and I feel privileged to have been a remote part of your grand-children's birth and growing up.
I smile every time I see the face of Full of Hope.

I know that the Philippines is in God's hands as well nations in the old and new world.
I have great hopes for your country because of the need you as Christian prayers have for your fellow countrymen.
You are sending your bread down the water, and in due time you shall find it again.
These are not my empty words, but the promises of the Holy and Almighty.
I often fear that the candlestick may be moved, because of mine and our country's lukewarmness.
I pray that the Lord must have mercy.

Lidia...beautiful family. It excited my heart to read what the government is putting on the money. We spend seven years in Papua New Guinea with New Tribes Mission and felt exactly the same. They also minister in the remote locations in the Phillipines. Love the phrase, The Phillippines is for Christ, what an excting time to live for Lord in. Blessings my wise hearted sister.

Your grandchildren are growing so quickly! They're beautiful. Though the numbers were small at your meeting, I always take comfort, knowing that each one was there because of God. He knew who would and wouldn't come. The verse on the money was encouraging, too.

You have such a beautiful family Lidia. Your grandsons are just precious. And it was so interesting to hear the statistics about your country, I didn't realize that. Also it was good to hear what is printed on your currency to proclaim to the world! Sorry I've been away so long, my little corner of the world got so busy (self imposed, but yet very fulfilling)! Love to you from far across the globe! xo ~Lili
